Pond Competition ... Year 2003 Finalists
Again a very poor effort by members with only 5 ponds plus my hole in the ground entered. We know there are some members with very creditable ponds and there must be lots of very good ponds belonging to residents of Ilford who could enter this open competition so we must be promoting it wrongly. Don't let these photos put you off, though I will say that (apart from my very new pond) all this years entries were in excellent condition and probably the best I've ever seen them. The top four were very close indeed and it took the three judges quite a time to decide the order. Though Mike has won again it was only because he like the others had put in a good deal of work tidying up.
