Christmas 2009 In keeping to recent years tradition this meeting was scheduled for only half the evening to allow members more opportunity to socialise and we were pleased to welcome two of our Honorary vice Presidents - Sam Bray and Mike Shadrack. The 'talk' was (after a shaky start with the projector) a run down of the results of the 2009 Home Aquarium Competition with slides and of the 2009 Pond Competition with video.
The previous month (I have not updated the site for a while) Dick Mills gave us one of his usual excellent talk - this time on Aquarama 2009, the 11th International Ornamental Fish and Accessories Exhibition in Singapore. Dick was invited to judge the guppy classes along with several other judges, and explained to us how it differed from judging at FBAS shows.

New Speakers
Finding speakers is always a problem and our Programme Secretary, Roger Saltrick who isn't doing so bad really, would be pleased to hear from anyone who gives talks to Aquarium Societies and who hasn't yet been to Ilford. Please contact him at
